Chuck Peebler April, 2006"There are more reasons for hope than fear, so we must find ways to bridle fear and give greater rein to hope. We must believe that science will progress and, in time, new therapies will make PSP curable. Life is life, fight for it."

- Charles D. Peebler Jr., April 2005

The Peebler PSP Research Foundation, an Idaho 501c3, is dedicated to providing grants for medical research related to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and to increasing public awareness through education regarding PSP.

On April 18th, 2009, Charles D. Peebler passed away peacefully with his family around him. He lived by this motto all the way until the end,"Life is life, fight for it!"

PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy) is a fatal, degenerative brain disease that has no known cause, treatment or cure. It causes complete disability by progressively impairing all movement, balance, vision, speech and swallowing. PSP patients often show alterations of mood and behavior, including depression and progressive dementia. About 20,000 people in the United States have this terrible disease, but only about 4500 have been properly diagnosed as having PSP. Unfortunately, most of the other 15,500 individuals carry some other incorrect diagnosis and PSP has not even been considered The disease also puts enormous psychological and financial pressure on families, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

PSP is a disease of mature adulthood that often takes people in their prime of life and as they are just beginning to enjoy their retirement. It’s a disease that knows no barriers and affects individuals of all sexes and races. Because it has no known cause, treatment options have been very limited and because it is neither genetic nor hereditary in nature anybody can be struck down. Mother Teresa's Hymn to Life

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.

Life is beauty, admire it.

Life is a dream, realize it.

Life is a challenge, meet it.

Life is a duty, complete it.

Life is a game, play it.

Life is a promise, fulfill it.

Life is sorrow, overcome it.

Life is a song, sing it.

Life is a struggle, accept it.

Life is a tragedy, confront it.

Life is an adventure, dare it.

Life is luck, make it.

Life is too precious, do not destroy it.

Life is life, fight for it.
